Summary
This is the third and final installment in the Millennium series
by and it follows the punk
heroine Lisbeth Salander immediately after the second book, The
Girl Who Played with Fire left off.
Lisbeth is in critical condition and will stand trial for three
murders as soon as doctors declare her strong enough to leave the
hospital. But even while she remains confined and badly injured,
she has to fight against the powerful forces that victimized her
for years. She was shot in the head and buried alive, so it isn't
easy to tend to everything that needs to be done.
With Blomkvest helping her, the two attempt to right layers and
years of wrongdoing while staying alive long enough to see the
mighty take their fall.
